Paper N Plastic

Have you ever gone to a drive through on your way home just because you dreaded the "after dinner clean-up!" Have no fear paper and plastic are here. Invest in some paper plates and plastic utensils. There is nothing wrong with serving your family a well balanced meal on them. In fact, I served an entire Thanksgiving meal this last year on them. Yup! Sure did! When the meal was over everyone just threw their plates away, and I wasn't in the kitchen for hours cleaning up. I only had to load the pots and pans I cooked in(which was minimal because we had King Ranch Chicken that I cooked the night before!). We also used plastic cups. They were LIFE SAVERS!!!

My husband frequently complained that the paper plates were not strong enough. He would then grab three or four to help the sturdiness and then threw them ALL away. So recently, at the dollar general, I bought a four pack of paper plate holders. All I do is take one plate a lay it in the holder that VIOLA!!! A sturdy throw away plate has emerged. Of course, you don't throw the holder away! We have been using them for a few weeks now and I just stick them back in the cabinet when we are done.

When in doubt SIMPLIFY! Don't stress about small things like dishes when there is clearly an easier route! You still get a quality family dinner and quality family time, but a NO FUSS CLEAN UP!

  1. This is so great! I send plastic-ware with Sean in his lunch every day because I can't trust him enough to bring our silverware home and not toss it in the trash!

  2. Why not use paper plates there are so many great styles now and clean up is a breeze even the little kids can help clean up after a party and not worry about breaking something.
